Bhopal: "Books' credibility will never fade"

According to Hindi poet Rajesh Joshi, books are the most trustworthy friends, and their reputation will never fade. On Monday night, he was giving a speech at the Mahadevi Verma Auditorium at Hindi Bhawan on the first day of the eight-day book festival, Kitab Utsav.

The event was launched by eminent authors Kailashchand Pant, Govind Mishra, and Rajesh Joshi. It was organised by the Rajkamal Prakashan Group in New Delhi. There is no alternative for books, and authors have remarked that good books and literature aid in a person's whole development.

Pant stated, "Mankind now faces a variety of issues. Another issue is the deterioration of his senses. For men's mental well-being and sensibility, reading is a crucial tool. We are happy to have the opportunity to gather quality books for ourselves thanks to the exhibition.

According to author Govind Mishra, "We live in a technological age. Books can now be purchased for the iPad. However, paper-based novels are still appealing.

"The country is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, and we have also chosen to organise book festivals and exhibitions in several locations in the 75th year of its establishment," said Ashok Maheshwari, president of Rajkamal Prakashan Group. It all began in Bhopal.

In conjunction with the Kavi ki Vartani show, which focused on poet Rajesh Joshi's 76th birthday, Joshi was interviewed.

There will be a variety of literary events planned, including author interactions, book launches, poetry readings, and story-telling workshops. There will be a wide variety of publishers' Hindi books at the expo, which is open from 10 am to 9 pm.
